Description: annotation maps describing the entire Gene Ontology
 The Gene Ontology is an international effort initiatd by Michael
 Ashburner in Cambrige, UK, to put terms describing biological
 processes, function or cellular components in relation to each other.
 The GO then presents itself as an annotated directed acyclic graph,
 much like a mind map.

 DNA or protein sequence databases give references to GO. These then
 serve as a multi-level annotation, granting an option to query on
 the databases to retrieve entries of similar function or, conversely,
 ask for GO terms that a set of genes have in common that were found
 changed e.g. in response to a drug or in a comparison of patients and
 a control population.

 This package is part of BioConductor and provides a set of annotation
 maps describing the entire Gene Ontology assembled using data from GO.

 The package helps running the test suites of some BioConductor packages.
